Just after Christmas I was beginning to wonder if I might be pregnant. No monthly visit, naseated most the day, none of the Christmas candy sounded good, upset stomach, etc. I took a test on Jan. 4th and it was positive. We waited to make an doctor appt. because I had a miscarriage the end of July at 7 weeks so we didn't want to get ahead of ourselves. I am RH- so if I do have a miscarriage I have to have a rhogam shot to prevent problems in the future. We did that in July and I just hoped that I hadn't had any other miscarriages I wasn't aware of previous to that. Anyhow, we had our appt. with the OB last Wednesday and they said everything looks great (except my thyroid-they have to up my medication). They did the confirmation ultrasound and we got to see the heart beat and what kind of looked like an mini baby. The due date is August 27th and I am 10 weeks tomorrow.
We didn't plan on having Sawyer and I was kind of bummed because I wanted to be excited and ready when we got pregnant again. I understand the biology of it all, and I am plenty smart enough to know how to prevent it, but I guess after this one I will need to do a better job of it. ;) I think the part that is hardest for me is the unknown of pregnancy. I know that I need to turn it over to the Lord, but I still struggle. All things happen for a reason and I know that I will be better for it. Blessings come in all shapes and sizes. Right?

Congratulations!! That is exciting! I am sorry to hear about the miscarriage you had. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. I think for most people pregnancy is hard especially in the beginning! Hang in there and by August you will be ready and excited!
That is wonderful news Lindsay!! Congrats to you and your family. In my opinion, there is nothing better than having children who are close in age. It is difficult in the beginning but they become such great life long friends. Totally worth it!
Congrats! It will be a good thing once you feel better. It is hard to be excited about it when you feel like throwing up 24hrs a day.
Well I wish you congratulations and hope you are excited or start feeling excited. Hopefully your tummy will settle pretty soon.
